Perfectionism: The Silent Business Killer
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to stop obsessing over perfection. We often spend way too much time trying to make everything flawless, which can really slow us down. For instance, I decided to go live today just 45 minutes ago with only a few notes. Sometimes you’ve just got to run with it! When you shake off perfectionism, you gather valuable insights faster and can adapt more easily. So, let’s all try to move a bit quicker and not get bogged down by the urge to make everything perfect.
What’s Been Happening Behind the Scenes
Even after 30 years in this business, I’m still learning. Self-doubt and the fear of imperfection can be our worst enemies. But here’s the good news—realizing you’re not alone in these feelings can be a game-changer.
I Need Your Input
I’m working on a new program and your voice matters! What are you struggling with? Whether it’s finding clients, closing deals, or managing the backend of your business, your insights will help me shape this new initiative.
Recent Developments
1. Three-Month Coaching Program: Just wrapped up and it’s full. Now, I’m planning to create something more comprehensive based on your feedback.
2. Purchasing Made Easy: I’m helping designers transition from retail to wholesale purchasing—a big leap but a game-changer for increasing profits.
3. Mastermind Coaching Group: I recently joined a high-level session in Maryland with business owners earning between 1 and 20 million dollars annually. Guess what? They all struggle with the same thing—getting and growing clients. So no matter where you are, you’re not alone.
Breaking Through Mental Blocks
One major takeaway from the mastermind was realizing that self-doubt often holds us back. We can be our own worst enemies with thoughts like “You can’t do this” or “You’re not experienced enough.” Recognizing these mental blocks is crucial for moving forward.
Introducing the Luxury Clients Academy
I’m super excited about my new program, the Luxury Clients Academy, and I need your feedback. This nine-month program will cover finding clients, increasing profitability, managing backend tasks, and more. Plus, I’m adding some done-for-you services to help bridge the gap between learning and doing.
In-Person Event in Naples, Florida
Next week, I’m hosting an in-person event in Naples with several designers. Here’s a sneak peek:
– Private Boat Tour: We’ll check out some multimillion-dollar homes in Naples Bay to get inspired.
– Sunset Cruise: Time to unwind, get motivated, and connect.
– Headshots: A professional photographer will take lifestyle shots to help refresh your personal branding.
– Content Creation: I’ll be interviewing designers to create a year’s worth of content.
– Mastermind Hot Seats: We’ll address specific business issues using the collective wisdom of the group.
Wearing Multiple Hats
Running a design business while coaching can be a lot. Remember, small steps make a big difference over time. Each little step you take adds up, so keep moving forward!
