I am thrilled to share with you my recent appearance on the Business Innovations Radio Network, where I had the pleasure of being interviewed by the talented Nina Hershberger. In our lively conversation, we delved into my unique approach to acquiring new clients and how I am now coaching other interior designers with their marketing.
Utilizing Shock and Awe Boxes
During the podcast, I had the opportunity to discuss how I utilize shock and awe boxes (also known as trust boxes) to captivate potential clients and ultimately close the sale. These boxes have proved to be a game-changer for me, setting me apart from other designers and showcasing my professionalism and attention to detail.
So, what exactly is a shock and awe box? It’s a carefully curated package that I send out to potential clients with whom I have already had meaningful conversations. Inside the box, I include a brief introduction about myself and my background, client testimonials that highlight the positive experiences others have had with my interior design services, and articles featuring my work in local newspapers or magazines.
But that’s not all. To address any lingering questions, I include a section with commonly asked questions and my detailed answers, shedding light on my design process. Additionally, I include a couple of issues of my monthly client newsletter, ensuring that the recipients stay informed and engaged with my work.
To add a personal touch, I include a small snack, some refreshing drinks, and a thoughtful gift. This encourages recipients to take their time perusing the information provided and feel comfortable reaching out to me with any inquiries they may have. It’s all about establishing a genuine connection and demonstrating my commitment to their satisfaction.
Implementing shock and awe boxes as part of my marketing strategy has been hugely successful in closing new clients. It allows me to show potential clients that I go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. By showcasing my expertise, testimonials, and media features, I instill confidence and trust in my abilities as an interior designer.
My Passion for Design
In fact, my passion for design runs deep. I have been in the high-end interior design business for over 30 years, and my experience has led me to a new chapter in my career. I am now dedicated to helping other design professionals unlock their own potential and create businesses they love through Magnetic Marketing techniques.
To further support this mission, I have written a book titled “Elevate!” which is available on Amazon. In “Elevate!”, I share valuable lessons I’ve learned throughout my journey and provide easy techniques that can help grow your own design business. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your existing business to new heights, this book is a valuable resource.
In addition to my work in the design industry, I have also served as the past-president of the ASID Florida South Chapter and played an active role on the Board of Architecture and Design in NJ. These experiences have allowed me to further refine my skills and broaden my impact within the design community.
When I’m not immersed in creating beautiful spaces for my clients, you can find me in Naples, FL, enjoying the stunning beaches or mastering new dance moves in my home studio. These moments of relaxation and self-expression fuel my creativity and keep my passion for design alive.
I am grateful for the chance to speak with Nina Hershberger and share my insights on shock and awe boxes and Magnetic Marketing techniques and discuss my passion for interior design.
